BLACK ROCK CHAMPIONSHIPS AT ST. MARY'S SCHOOL NAIROBI

St. Martin's girl's school got a rare invitation by the rugby football union-RFU to participate in the Black rock rugby competition. The team arrived at st. Marys school at about 10.00am accompanied by the Deputy principal, Mr. Nyandieka, Mr Martin(Salesforce), Mr. Kimeu and Mr. Kihoro. The principal, Sr Florentina Ndeke joined the team later and witnessed the Bowl finals for st. Martins school

There were 12 teams for the competition from six girls schools, Precious blood Riruta, Nembu girls, St. Theresa Girls, Hidden Talent academy, Maoni school and St. Martins Girls.

At the preliminary stages there were 3 pools with each pool having 4 teams. The games at group stages were played on round robin basis.
The number ones were pooled to compete for the main cup, number twos for the Bowl and number threes for the shield. Since both St Martins A and St Martins B were number twos from their group stages they were out to compete for the BOWL.

St. Martins Team A lost to Nembu A at the Bowl Finals. The team was very elated since they had known and trained in Tag rugby for only five days

Kudos to the sales force team of VIJAY, MARTIN, AMANDA, ISABELL JOANNA, STEPHANIE and DEANNA
